Site architecture

Back in April, we published an article Maximise your Content ROI with the Innovative SEO Strategy Driving Millions of Hits to HubSpot’s Blog to explain how HubSpot implemented their current SEO strategy by grouping their content in topic clusters. Structuring their already existing content pieces by themes or topics enabled HubSpot to maximise content ROI. This was done by improving site architecture and tracking the rankings of each topic cluster. Each topic has a central pillar page and other content pages of this topic link back to the central pillar page. Linking all internal content shows search engines that there is a semantic relationship between the pages’ content. Internal linking improves indexation of your website and gives the central pillar page more authority on the topic.

HubSpot’s and AccuRanker’s On-Page Strategy Guide includes updated information on how to implement HubSpot’s topic cluster strategy using AccuRanker.

Analyze your website's performance

After carrying out a content audit of their website and structuring the content, HubSpot team had to track the performance of each topic cluster. They grouped the keywords by each topic cluster so they could track the performance of each topic cluster.
