The X-Robots-Tag is a tag which enables you to issue directives such as noindex and nofollow to search engine bots. It is an alternative to the meta robots tag.
The X-Robots-Tag is a part of the HTTP header. It has some advantages over the meta robots tag in that it is more flexible as it can be used to block certain file types such as certain images or videos.
